Inventory provisioning fees are the costs Amazon uses to help sellers move inventory to operations centers closer to consumers

 

自Starting March 1, 2024, Amazon Logistics will charge different levels of fees for different inventory configuration options selected by sellers

01 Storage configuration service fee

Single-point pickup (formerly Premium) : Sellers can send inventory to a minimum number of pickup locations (usually one location), and Amazon will distribute inventory across the Amazon delivery network on the seller's behalf。However, the seller will pay a fee, which may vary depending on the distance from the storage location。

Dispersed warehousing(i.e., the original discount service) : Sellers can ship their inventory to multiple drop-in locations on their own, at low or no charge。Discounts also depend on a variety of factors, such as shipment quantity and storage location。

 

 

Simply put, the seller can choose the best place Amazon recommends to stock, usually4 or more locations where there is no charge;However, if the delivery location is less than 4 warehouses, this cost will be generated, and this cost will gradually increase according to the number of warehouses, the fewer the delivery address, the higher the cost。

03 Coping Strategies

In addition to this, sellers also need to pay attention to:

1.If the storage address of the shipment is inconsistent with the background display, or does not arrive at the Amazon operations center within the specified time, 45 days after the shipment is placed in the warehouse, Amazon will charge the storage configuration fee based on the actual received shipment and the storage location。
2.If the seller chooses to ship to two locations and the second shipment is not delivered within 30 days after the first shipment is placed in the warehouse, Amazon will charge the minimum shipment split rate for both received shipments。
3.If the seller deletes the shipment or misses the shipment, it may also be required to pay a warehousing defect fee for the abandoned shipment。
